About

Dr. Cole earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Virginia in 2002, Masters in Social Work from Boston College Graduate School of Social Work in 2008, and her PhD in Social Work from New York University in 2017. Dr. Cole’s practice experience spans crisis social work, youth and family therapy, and psychotherapy with adolescents, young adults, and adults. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Cole is an Assistant Professor in the Master of Social Work program at Fairleigh Dickinson University where she maintains an active teaching and research load.

Dr. Cole has completed post-MSW certification in child and family therapy from the New York University Silver School of Social Work and has advanced training in cognitive behavioral, trauma-oriented, and relationship-focused interventions.

Dr. Cole is currently completing the Level 1 Gottman Institute couples therapy training and the Trauma Research Institute Certificate in Traumatic Stress.
